Maintenance Associate (Janitor)

D.W. Distribution, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Maintenance Associate - JANITOR to join our VALUES based organization. This role will be based in our Door Fabrication branch in Lancaster, TX. In this role you will focus on:

Hourly Pay Rate: $19/hour + Benefits after 30 days of employment.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our manufacturing warehouse team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility that supports smooth day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys keeping a large, active workspace running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors throughout warehouse and production areas
• Empty trash and recycling bins; manage waste disposal per facility protocols
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, and office spaces
• Wipe down equipment, workstations, and common surfaces
• Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed
• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and other cleaning equipment
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and hazardous material handling (as applicable)
• Assist with spill cleanup and other emergency sanitation needs
• Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor repairs)
• Maintain outdoor walkways and entrances (sweeping, snow/ice removal, as needed)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
• Prior janitorial, custodial, or warehouse experience a plus
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (training provided)
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment and machinery
