The Health Services Clinic Manager (RN) is a BSN-prepared registered nurse responsible for coordinating comprehensive patient care, providing health education and self-management support, and overseeing day-to-day clinical and operational functions.
The Health Services Clinic Manager (RN) serves as a key link among patients, providers, specialists, community resources, and clinic staff. The position combines direct patient care, care coordination, health education, population health, quality improvement, staff leadership, workflow management, and clinic operations, with a focus on providing timely, safe, culturally responsive, equitable, and patient-centered care, particularly for underserved, uninsured, and underinsured populations.

Competency (knowledge, skills, abilities):
Strong clinical assessment, nursing judgment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of primary care, chronic disease management, care coordination, and preventive health. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds. Understanding of health literacy and culturally responsive care. Ability to prioritize competing clinical and operational responsibilities and work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency with EHR systems and standard office technology. Commitment to confidentiality, professional boundaries, and the mission of nonprofit/community healthcare.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Health Services Clinic Manager (RN) provides clinical leadership and mentorship to assigned staff and serves as a clinical resource for the care team. Responsibilities include appropriate delegation, coaching and feedback, conflict resolution, promoting teamwork and accountability, and supporting patient safety, quality, and service standards in collaboration with the COO and Medical Director.
Work Environment:
The position requires the ability to perform typical duties in an outpatient medical clinic, including sitting and standing for extended periods, walking throughout the clinic, communicating with patients and staff, using computers and telephones, and occasionally assisting with patient movement or other activities consistent with Health Services Clinic Manager (RN) duties. The employee may encounter individuals with infectious illnesses, emotional distress, or complex medical and social needs and is expected to follow appropriate safety and infection-control procedures.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are flexible and are scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
This position requires up to 10% travel. Occasionally travel is outside the local area and overnight.
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of professional nursing experience, preferably in primary care, family practice, community health, public health, care coordination, or a related setting. Experience with chronic disease management, patient education, and care coordination.
Preferred experience in a federally qualified health center, free clinic, nonprofit clinic, safety-net healthcare, or similar setting, experience serving uninsured or underinsured populations, experience in population health, quality improvement, or care management, relevant certification in care coordination, case management, diabetes education, or another specialty, experience with grant-funded programs, community health initiatives, clinical protocols, workflows, or patient education programs and bilingual or multilingual skills relevant to the clinic's patient population.
