Position:Lead Electrical Engineer
Location: Madison, WI
Compensation:$75k-$95k Based on Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience designing industrial electrical systems within a consulting engineering firm or design-build electrical contractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA standards.
- Proficiency with Revit, SKM Power Tools, and lighting analysis software.
- Experience supporting equipment installation, start-up, and commissioning activities.
- Excellent technical writing, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in several of the following areas:
- Power distribution systems
- AC drives and motor controls
- Lighting and lighting control systems
- Gas detection systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Lightning protection systems
- Knowledge of medium-voltage systems, power regeneration technologies, and energy reduction initiatives.
- Previous commissioning and field start-up experience.
