Low Voltage Cabling Service Technician

This is hands-on field work-not a desk job.

Are you the tech who shows up, sizes up the problem in five minutes, and fixes it right the first time? Our Client is looking for technicians who take pride in clean terminations, tight cable management, and code-compliant work-the kind of craftsmanship other techs notice.

Our Client is hiring experienced Low Voltage Service Technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling, network infrastructure, and security systems across data centers, offices, and commercial sites throughout DFW.

If you know your way around a termination kit and a fault finder, and you'd rather be on-site solving real problems than sitting behind a helpdesk ticket, this is for you.

• Diagnose and repair issues across data cabling, fiber, cameras, AV, and WAPs

• Install, route, and terminate copper (Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Coax) and fiber optic cabling

• Install and configure low-voltage systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, intercoms, and fire alarms

• Handle Moves/Adds/Changes (MACs), testing, patching, and ongoing system maintenance

• Perform data center work, including rack & stack, cable tray management, and patch panel installation

• Maintain clean, accurate logs, labeling, and documentation

• Perform all work in accordance with NEC and OSHA standards

• 5+ years of experience installing data and fiber cable; 3+ years with strong skills will also be considered

• Strong troubleshooting skills across data, fiber, camera, AV, and WAP systems

• Your own hand tools

• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record

• Reliable vehicle with proof of insurance; truck is a plus

• Ability to pass drug and background screening

• Fluent English

• Availability for day shift; nights/overnights are a plus

• Willingness to travel up to 25% (preferred, not required)

• BICSI Certification

• Experience with WAPs, IP/analog cameras, paging, or AV systems
