Building efficiently in a weather protected environment, with on-time delivery, and cost control, is the essence of modular construction and has made systems-built housing one of the fastest growing segments in the housing industry.
We are seeking a full-time detail-oriented draftsperson who is passionate, adaptable, and motivated to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD and knowledge of wood-frame construction standards. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and plant production staff to ensure every home meets design intent, building codes, and manufacturing tolerances.
Responsibilities:
? Develop detailed architectural and structural drawings (floor plans, elevations, cross-sections) through mechanical and final drawings.
? Convert architect/engineer concepts and sketches into fully dimensioned, code-compliant construction documents.
? Responsible for interpreting sales orders to draft plans according to supplied specifications.
? Proficient in visualizing a project through the production process.
? Communicate and collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure accuracy and quality.
? Maintain, track, and plan tasks according to the production schedule to meet weekly goals.
? Troubleshoot any foreseen complications ahead of production.
Minimum Requirements:
? Highly proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting ; experience with MS Office.
? 2 or 4 year degree, OR equivalent experience required.
? Solid understanding of drafting techniques and construction terminology.
? Technical detailing knowledge of construction methods and construction documents.
? Experience in wood-frame construction and related code requirements preferred.
? US work authorization.
