Sloomoo celebrates joy through an interactive experiential world, focused on slime, hands-on play, and all things #satisfying. Sloomoo launched in October of 2019 with an immersive 12,000 square-foot experience in Soho, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime (dozens of textures and the most delicious scents), soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights (you can slingshot slime, walk on slime, design your own slime, and more) converge with glossy, contemporary design.
Sloomoo’s universe has expanded - there are now a total of 7 Institutes (NYC, LA, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, DC) and two MiniMoos (Boston, Philadelphia) with more to come.
MiniMoos are smaller than the Institutes but packed with as much color, surprise, and play.

Position SummaryWe’re looking for an HR Generalist who is especially passionate about recruiting and onboarding someone who gets just as excited about building teams as we do about building slime.
You’ll be the driving force behind attracting amazing talent and creating a welcoming, thoughtful onboarding experience that makes new hires feel like they’ve just stepped into something special (because they have).

Responsibilities:RecruitingPartner with hiring managers to define what success looks like in each role, and hire against it
Write job descriptions that sound like us – and hold up in every state we operate
Proactively source candidates and build strong talent pipelines
Lead screening calls, coordinate interviews, and keep every candidate informed
Manage job board postings; keep postings current, accurate, and closed when filled
Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance) and use them to improve our process
Run high-volume seasonal hiring and new-location hiring
Manage pre-boarding communication from offer through day one so new hires arrive excited and ready
Own new-hire compliance: I-9, background checks, and required notices, etc.
Set up new hires in HRIS (ADP) and enroll them in LMS so training can start day one
Coordinate day-one orientation and hand new hires off to location General Managers for on-the-job training
Collect feedback from new hires and their managers to use it to keep raising the bar
Support employee relations and coach managers with empathy and clarity
Administer leaves of absences and accommodation requests in coordination with ADP
Maintain records in ADP and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements across all locations
Field benefits and employee questions and partner with ADP on resolution
Help drive engagement initiatives and culture moments
Support performance management cycles
Continuously improve our people processes as we grow
3–5 years of HR experience, with strong recruiting ownership; high-volume or seasonal hiring experience strongly preferred
Experience in retail, hospitality, experiential, or multi-location environments preferred
Working knowledge of multi-state employment law, including I-9, FCRA, and fair-chance hiring, wage-and-hour rules for hourly employees, and leave laws
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple roles and priorities gracefully
Experience with ADP strongly preferred; comfortable managing postings and sourcing on Indeed or comparable platforms
Clear, warm communicator
Minimum age: 18 years.
