Solar Impact Inc. is searching for an experienced Solar Installer / Electrician to join our Operations Team in Gainesville, FL. The person in this role is responsible for efficiently installing solar and electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The ideal candidate for this position possesses the following traits:
2 or more years of solar and electrical experience
Hands-on electrical / NEC experience
Ability to read construction drawings
Close attention to detail and process, with problem-solving abilities
Team player, capable of working independently
Working knowledge of digital devices and programs

Reliable with strong work ethic

Compensation:$18 - $25 per hour Depending on Experience
Demonstrate Solar Impact Core Values
Install solar and electrical equipment in accordance with the NEC
Assist with quality solar PV installations, including system layout, roof penetrations, assembling racking, running conduit (both exterior and in attics and crawl spaces), panel attachment, grounding, pulling wire, assembling wire combiner boxes, and performing voltage testing
Maintain a safe work environment and follow Solar Impact and OSHA-required safety protocols at all times
Follow all company operations standards and processes
Organize materials and tools and help load the truck/trailer for each job
Assist with general site preparation and continuous jobsite clean-up
Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are moving along safely, quickly, and efficiently
Participate in online and in-person trainings related to safety and solar installation
Review projects post-install to determine areas for efficiency improvement
Maintain a neat and professional appearance and communicate with customers in a positive manner
Meet attendance and punctuality requirements, including occasional night and weekend availability to meet project deadlines
Required
Able to pass a pre-employment background check, driver insurability check, physical, and drug screen (no consideration for medical marijuana cards).
Capable of reporting to work in person and on time as scheduled, and working overtime, nights, and weekends as required
Proficient in bending conduit
Clean driving record (must be insurable for driving Solar Impact vehicles)
Detail-oriented and takes pride in work
Respectful of customers and of co-workers
Organized with the ability to multitask and set priorities
Preferred
1 or more years of solar or electrical experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to work at great heights
Able to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb ladders
Capable of working on feet for long periods
Able to lift at least 75 pounds at a time
Willing to wear PPE in performance of some duties (e.g., harnesses, hard hats, gloves, masks, ear protection, etc.)
Able to work in extreme hot/cold temperature conditions
Willing to work 10-hour or longer shifts
