The CNC Machinist Team Lead has a dual role as a working team lead who is responsible for overseeing multiple employees in a fast paced, low volume, high mix manufacturing environment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES: **
• Participate in interview and selection process.
• Provide training to new team members.
• Conduct 30/66/90 and annual reviews for each employee.
• Provide feedback and training to employees to develop and enhance skills.
• Monitor attendance and performance and consult with Shop Floor Manager as needed.
• Attend daily morning meetings with other departments to determine needs and bi-weekly production meetings.
• Keep, organize, and record a log of disciplinary issues.
• Work with other departments to achieve goals and tasks.
• Order tools and parts as needed.
• Determine who fulfills work order based on availability and skill level.
• Organize the tool vending machine and order tools as needed.
• Train and cross train others in the department.
• Inspect parts visually for quality.
• Ability to operate all machinery in the department.
**REQUIREMENTS: **
• High School diploma or GED required
• Vocational School or Trade School preferred
• 5 years of leadership preferred
• Ability to operate CNC mills and lathes and manual mills and lathes.
• Ability to work with others to complete tasks or work individually.
• Proficient reading skills for tape measures, caliper, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to stay organized and work in stressful environments.
