Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: Starting at $30/hour+ DOE

We’re currently hiring a Field Service Technician to join our growing team in Wakefield, MA. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving in the field, and working independently while making a real impact on customer safety and compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll help ensure fire alarm and security systems remain fully operational and compliant with safety regulations.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm and security systems
• Inspect smoke detectors, motion sensors, alarm panels, and related equipment
• Replace batteries and perform preventative maintenance services
• Troubleshoot minor system issues and identify potential concerns
• Complete accurate digital inspection reports and service documentation
• Utilize software platforms including Sedona and BuildingReports
• Communicate professionally with customers on-site
• Coordinate with internal service and support teams as needed
• Maintain organized records and follow inspection procedures carefully

What We’re Looking ForPreferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in fire alarm, low voltage, electrical, or security systems work preferred
• NICET or IPSI certification is a plus
• Willingness to obtain industry certifications if not already certified
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
