Afterschool Teacher

Location: Lithonia, GA

We are seeking a responsible and engaging Afterschool Teacher to provide supervision and meaningful activities for school-aged children after their regular school day.

This position is ideal for someone who can balance structure with fun while helping children complete schoolwork, participate in activities, and enjoy a positive afternoon environment.

• Supervise children during afterschool hours
• Help children transition from their school day into the program
• Provide assistance with homework and age-appropriate educational activities
• Organize games, creative projects, group activities, and enrichment opportunities
• Encourage teamwork, respectful communication, and positive behavior
• Support children during snacks, transitions, and scheduled routines
• Monitor attendance and maintain required records
• Keep activity areas safe, clean, and organized
• Observe children's needs and respond appropriately
• Communicate professionally with parents and guardians
• Follow program policies, safety procedures, and childcare requirements
• Work cooperatively with other staff members

• CDA, TCC, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous afterschool teaching experience preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
