The Low Voltage Installer / Technician role is suited for both entry-level and experienced individuals eager to work on diverse projects across commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed environments. The position involves installation, testing, and maintenance of low voltage systems, requiring adherence to safety standards and effective communication. Moderate travel between job sites is expected, and proficiency with standard electrical tools and personal protective equipment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Install low voltage cabling systems accurately and efficiently
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical and communication systems
  • Set up and maintain equipment following safety protocols
  • Conduct site surveys and signal testing to ensure system performance
  • Document work details and maintain clear communication with team and clients
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and industry regulations
  • Travel moderately between commercial, industrial, and residential job sites

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in low voltage wiring and electrical testing techniques
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Good time management and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in low voltage installation
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities include pulling, routing, supporting, and labeling cable; assisting with pathways, drilling, and jobsite cleanup; and following project plans, safety requirements, and supervisor instructions. Work involves physical construction tasks, ladders, tight spaces, and shifts generally lasting 8–10 hours, with 10-hour shifts typical.

Applicants must have reliable transportation, basic hand tools, a serviceable cordless drill or driver, and dependable attendance. We value punctuality, teamwork, troubleshooting skills, and professional conduct. Beginners must be willing to learn to read wiring diagrams and construction drawings. Experienced installers should bring strong technical skills, and crew leads must be able to read plans, organize workers and materials, and manage assigned projects.
