Press Operator (3rd Shift - Hours 11pm-7am Monday through Friday)
Souderton, PA
Hourly rate based on experience (plus $1 differential for Overnight Shift)
Responsibilities:
Seeking an experienced Press Operator to lead press operations for 3rd Shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing press performance, ensuring product quality, coordinating changeovers, and supporting the development of Press Assistants. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, safety, and quality standards helping deliver high-quality flexible packaging products to customers.
  • Operateand oversee printing press equipment to ensure safe and efficient production
  • Prepare and execute press changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process and ensure compliance with customer specifications
  • Train, mentor, and support Press Assistants on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and waste records
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety, quality, GMP, and plant policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and quality deviations immediately
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Previous printing press, flexographic press, manufacturing, or machine operation experience required
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and production processes
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to train and support team members in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively and safely in a fast-paced production environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong safety awareness
  • Basic computer and production documentation skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movements
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
