Mancan is helping a growing Smithville-area company find a Full-Time Sandblaster to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and wants to learn a specialized skill.
No previous sandblasting experience is required! The company is willing to train the right person.
About the Company
This company specializes in industrial surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, and protective coatings. They work with manufactured parts and equipment from a variety of industries, preparing surfaces by removing rust, paint, and other materials before applying durable industrial finishes. Their work includes both production runs and specialized projects where quality and attention to detail are important.
What You'll Do
As a Sandblaster, you will help prepare parts and surfaces for industrial finishing. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Moving and handling parts throughout the work area
Operating sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces
Loading sand into sandblasting equipment
Preparing parts for the next stage of production
Lifting, bending, twisting, and performing other physical tasks throughout the day
Working in various weather conditions when needed
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Assisting with other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Dependable and hardworking
Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
Ability to lift and handle materials
Able to bend, twist, stand, and move throughout the workday
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Willingness to learn and be trained
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work well as part of a team
Experience is a plus, but not required! If you have previous sandblasting, industrial, painting, construction, or similar hands-on experience, your starting pay may be up to $20.00/HR based on experience.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $18.00/HR to start
Up to $20.00/HR with experience
MondayFriday | 4:30 PM1:00 AM
Overtime opportunities are available on Saturday and Sunday.
