POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: F&P Operator
Pay: $18.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Location: Strongsville, OH
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Transportation: This location is NOT accessible by public transportation. Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from work.
JOB SUMMARY
The F&P Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating assigned slitting equipment while ensuring products meet quality and productivity standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate various slitting equipment, including slitter machines and rewind tables.
Conduct offline inspections in the packing area.
Inspect, catch, and pack products coming off the press.
Inspect labels for defects while operating a slitter, working in the packing area, or at the press.
Perform all required quality checks.
Use QAD to issue and receive product to work orders and print core and box labels.
Prepare labels for shipment, ensuring all required labels are properly placed on boxes and cores.
Complete all required paperwork accurately.
Assist other F&P Operators with packing when waiting for WIP.
Maintain a clean and organized 5S work area.
Learn and follow customers Environmental and Quality Policies.
Learn and follow all applicable customers SWIs and WIs related to F&P operations.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and follow supervisor instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
Previous slitting experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to meet quality and productivity standards.
Ability to read and understand associated paperwork and tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and computer skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while working at a machine.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
REQUIRED SCREENING
Must be able to successfully pass a national background check.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen.
Must have reliable transportation this location is not on a bus line.
