Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Valuations Analysts.

This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors, activated through Initio Sphere’s certification, assessment, and verification process.

Once approved, Valuations Analysts:

  • Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

  • Gain access to real deal flow and paid valuation engagements

  • Support investors, fund managers, and operators on live transactions

  • Build a verified valuation and deal track record

  • Earn income through hourly valuation projects and deal-based work

Certification Tiers:

  • Senior Valuations Analyst

  • Lead Valuations Analyst

  • Valuations Analyst / Associate

Analyst Levels & Pay RangesSenior Valuations Analyst
  • Rating Score: 90–100

  • Pay: $150–$200/hour

  • Typical Background:
    5+ years in investment banking, private equity, valuation advisory, transaction services, or corporate development with deep valuation leadership experience

Lead Valuations Analyst
  • Rating Score: 80–89

  • Pay: $100–$150/hour

  • Typical Background:
    3–5 years of experience performing business, asset, or transaction-level valuations

Valuations Analyst / Associate
  • Rating Score: 60–79

  • Pay: $50–$100/hour

  • Typical Background:
    Entry to mid-level analysts with strong valuation, accounting, and financial analysis fundamentals

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Valuations Analysts are engaged strictly within their approved valuation categories. Responsibilities may include:

Business & Transaction Valuation
  • Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis

  • Leveraged Buyout (LBO) valuation support

  • Enterprise and equity value analysis

  • Returns modeling and valuation sensitivity analysis

Market-Based Valuation
  • Comparable company analysis (public comps)

  • Precedent transaction analysis

  • Multiples benchmarking and normalization

Asset & Sector-Specific Valuation
  • Commercial real estate valuation and underwriting

  • Asset-level and portfolio valuation models

  • Project, infrastructure, and alternative asset valuation

Valuation Deliverables & Support
  • Football field valuation summaries

  • Assumption development and documentation

  • Valuation support for investment memos and IC presentations

  • Scenario, downside, and stress-case valuation analysis

Note: Analysts may only perform valuation work in categories they are explicitly approved for. Approvals are earned through certification assessment results and ongoing performancenot tenure.

How Analysts Start Earning
  1. Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training

  2. Receive valuation-specific approvals

  3. Become verified on the Initio Sphere platform

  4. Begin earning immediately through hourly valuation projects and live deal engagements

Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors.

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score 70% in a valuation-related category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

  • Complete Initio Sphere Valuation or Financial Training

  • Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each Valuations Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Platform visibility and ranking

  • Approved valuation categories

  • Recommended hourly rates

  • Eligibility for higher-complexity and higher-value transactions

Compensation & Deal Terms
  • Analysts operate as independent contractors, not employees

  • Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level

  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

  • Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

  • Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

  • Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues

  • Provide investment advice

  • Solicit securities

  • Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity

All work is limited to valuation, financial analysis, and analytical support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
