Works independently, with ability in at least one major areas of mill operations
Develops operating practices to produce quality steel products meeting or exceeding industry standards and customer requirements.
Reviews manufacturing practices on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with established operating practices
Design, execution and reporting of product development and quality improvement trials
Interprets data and makes recommendations to Operations management
Investigates quality-related production problems and collaborates with other departments to find cost-effective solutions
Implements techniques for quality and productivity enhancements
Manages disposition of material which does not meet requirements for intended application
