Position Overview
We are seeking a client-focused Wealth Advisor to deliver comprehensive wealth management and financial planning services to high-net-worth and affluent clients. The Wealth Advisor will develop tailored investment strategies, coordinate tax and estate planning, manage client portfolios, and build long-term relationships to grow assets under management while acting as a fiduciary and trusted financial partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with high-net-worth and affluent clients, acting as the primary point of contact for their financial needs.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans that address investments, retirement, tax optimization, estate planning, insurance, and cash-flow management.
- Provide customized investment advice and construct diversified portfolios aligned to client objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
- Monitor client portfolios and market conditions, rebalance allocations as needed, and provide regular performance reporting and plan reviews.
- Drive client acquisition and business development through referrals, networking, seminars, and targeted outreach to grow assets under management.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies, maintain accurate client documentation, and prepare disclosures and suitability analyses.
- Serve as a mentor to junior advisors and support staff, contributing to process improvements and best practices across the team.
- Stay current on industry trends, investment products, tax law changes, and maintain continuing education and required licenses.
Qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred or in progress; demonstrated competency in financial planning principles.
- Series 65 registration (or equivalent state investment adviser registration) required or willingness to obtain promptly.
- 3+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or private client advisory roles with a track record of managing high-net-worth relationships and growing AUM.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of investment products, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, client-friendly terms.
- Proficient with financial planning tools and portfolio platforms (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Morningstar, Orion) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High ethical standards, fiduciary mindset, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and community events as required; successful completion of background checks and firm onboarding processes.
