Are you an ambitious graduate with a degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations Management who is ready to accelerate your career?
We are recruiting an energetic, high-potential Operations Trainee for an industry-leading heavy industrial manufacturer in Ohio. This structured rotational program is specifically designed to transform rising talent into future plant leaders and operational executives.
If you are eager to combine hands-on technical learning on the shop floor with progressive supervisory exposure, this is your fast-track opportunity into frontline management.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Accelerated Leadership Development: Gain direct exposure to plant leadership, shift supervision, and cross-functional operations within a premier manufacturing environment.
Clear Career Pathway: Grow directly into high-impact roles such as Operations Manager, Production Department Head, Continuous Improvement Leader, or Process Engineer.
Comprehensive Department Rotations: Gain hands-on experience across Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, EHS, and Lean Continuous Improvement.
Stability and Growth: Join a well-funded, stable, and growing manufacturer committed to modernizing operations and developing talent from within.
What You Will Do:
Hands-on Production Oversight: Learn daily shop-floor operations, support scheduling, enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), and help drive efficiency, quality, and throughput targets.
Progressive Leadership Exposure: Act as backup/relief coverage for shift supervisors and team leads. Guide workflow, assist with shift coordination, onboard new team members, and build real-world managerial skills.
Process Improvement (Lean / Six Sigma): Identify workflow inefficiencies, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and track critical KPIs (OEE, downtime, scrap, throughput).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and maintenance teams on equipment troubleshooting, process changes, and preventative maintenance activities.
Safety & Quality Leadership: Promote safe shop-floor behaviors, participate in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits, and support root-cause analysis for quality assurance.
What We Are Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related technical/field of study.
Experience: Previous internship, co-op, or hands-on exposure in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial maintenance environment is a strong plus.
Leadership Mindset: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a drive to lead shop-floor teams and take ownership of performance results.
Problem-Solving Skills: Eager to learn complex industrial processes, dive into Lean manufacturing principles, and solve operational challenges on the floor.
