Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Base + Vehicle Allowance + Bonus + Full Benefits
An established and growing Florida-based builder/developer is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join its construction team. This organization specializes in the development and construction of multifamily and senior living communities throughout Florida, with a particularly strong presence along the Gulf Coast. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily on-site supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
- Support project scheduling efforts to ensure milestones are achieved and projects are delivered on time.
- Monitor quality control to ensure work meets company standards, project specifications, and owner expectations.
- Help maintain a safe jobsite by enforcing OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Coordinate with the Project Management team to incorporate owner changes and ensure timely execution.
- Ensure all required jobsite signage, notices, safety documentation, and MSDS information are properly maintained and displayed.
- Assist in conducting weekly subcontractor and owner-architect-contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Track project progress and communicate updates to the Superintendent and Project Management team.
- Foster strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience in multifamily, senior living, commercial, or residential construction preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-focused approach.
- Organized, proactive, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable utilizing construction technology, including Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality, safety, accountability, and professionalism.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced construction environment.
