Project Manager - Big Box Commercial

We are seeking experienced Commercial Project Managers to join our growing team in either our Boca Raton or Tampa Bay office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a construction professional with a proven track record of successfully managing commercial ground-up projects from preconstruction through closeout.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, financial oversight, scheduling expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Project Experience Desired
Candidates should have experience managing one or more of the following project types:
- Ground-Up Retail
- Big Box Retail
- Supermarkets
- Municipal Facilities
- Mixed-Use Developments
- Multi-Family Construction
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from inception through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
- Administer subcontractor contracts and manage subcontractor performance
- Review and negotiate change orders while maintaining project profitability
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and company standards
- Utilize project management software to monitor progress, costs, and documentation
- Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
- Minimum 10 years of total experience in the commercial construction industry
- Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and change management
- Experience with subcontractor administration and contract management
- Proficiency with construction management software, including Procore
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Stable employment history with demonstrated career progression
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with multiple commercial project types listed above
