Rotating Equipment & Piping Maintenance Specialist

Princeton, NJ | 1st Shift

  • Can you read a P&ID, trace a process line, and spot the faulty solenoid or limit switch before it fails?
  • Are you comfortable switching between mechanical duties and select electrical tasks depending on the need?
  • Do you enjoy installing new equipment and mentoring vendors or contractors to get jobs done safely and right the first time?
What you’ll work on
  • Daily maintenance across chemical plant systems: piping, valves, gauges, plant air, and product lines.
  • Mechanical and, where applicable, electrical repairs on plant and building systems (solenoid valves, limit switches, actuated valves).
  • Troubleshooting and sustaining rotating assetspumps, mixers, and pneumatic/electric machineryto maintain uptime.
  • Complete rebuilds of diaphragm, rotary, gear, and centrifugal pumps; service manual valves, pneumatic mixers, and vessels.
  • Partner with maintenance teammates, coordinate outside contractors, and uphold safe, efficient execution.
  • Install and commission capital equipment; welding, fabrication, and industrial piping experience are strong pluses.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; two years of technical school training or equivalent handson experience.
  • 3–5 years in maintenance within chemical, food, or beverage manufacturing; mechanical, machining, electrical, pipefitting, or welding skills are notable advantages.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents, technical procedures, regulations, and data; communicate effectively with managers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Analytical problem solvercollect data, evaluate results, draw conclusions, and prepare recommendations or project reports; proficiency with MS Word and Excel is beneficial.
  • Capable of standing 75–85% of the shift; climbing ladders and stairs 2–3 stories; and consistently using PPE.
  • Capable of performing all essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pay and perks

Salary $32.00 - $36.00, based on jobrelated skills, experience, relevant education or training, and primary work location.
