Director of Preconstruction
Location: Hollywood, FL
Compensation: $180,000 - $220,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Full Benefits
Our client is a well-established General Contractor headquartered in Hollywood, Florida, with a strong reputation for delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout South Florida.
They are seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead all preconstruction, estimating, permitting, and business development efforts while managing a high-performing team and driving successful project pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full preconstruction process from pursuit through project turnover
- Oversee estimating, budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, and risk analysis
- Manage permitting, consultant coordination, RFIs, and preconstruction documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Drive business development efforts, proposal preparation, and client presentations
- Mentor and lead the Preconstruction team while managing department performance and budgets
Qualifications
- 10+ years of preconstruction, estimating, or construction management experience with a General Contractor
- Experience on commercial and/or multifamily construction projects
- Proven leadership and client-facing experience
- Strong understanding of estimating, project planning, and construction operations
