Security Officer

Iron Shield Security, LLC. is seeking dedicated and professional Security Officers to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are vigilant, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors.

Job Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting property, assets, and individuals by maintaining a visible presence, preventing incidents, and responding promptly to emergencies. This position requires strong observation skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to upholding company standards and client expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control points.
• Control access by verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances in a timely and professional manner.
• Write clear and accurate reports detailing daily activities and incident occurrences.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and client-specific regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary.

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.

• Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment.
• State-issued security license or ability to obtain one as required by law.

Work Environment and Activity

Security Officers may work in a variety of environments, including commercial properties, residential communities, construction sites, and event venues. The role involves both indoor and outdoor duties in varying weather conditions. Officers should be prepared for prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting, as well as responding to dynamic and sometimes stressful situations.
