Van Driver

Drive shuttle style passenger van to provide transportation to participants to and from adult day care facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist participants to enter and leave vehicle.

* May secure participants wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.

* Keep the inside of the vehicle clean and in good operating condition.

* May keep records of trips and behavior of passengers.

Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Must have a valid South Carolina drivers' license.

* Good driving record

* Good criminal background

* Must pass DOT physical

* CPR/First Aid a plus, but will train if needed

* Defensive Driving a plus, but will train if needed

Physical Demands:

Employee must be physically capable of assisting the participants on and off the van, including securing the wheelchairs properly when needed.

Hours currently needed:

Wednesdays - 1:30pm -5:30pm

Thursdays and Fridays - 5:30am-9:30am and 1:30pm-5:30pm

**If candidate is needing Full Time employment, this could be an option if you are willing to fill in as a driver on other days as well as be flexible to assist with participants as a caregiver when not driving. **

Graceful Embrace is a developmental day program that works with intellectual disabilities throughout the day Monday - Friday. Our caregivers assist the clients with personal care needs when needed and assist the clients with doing activities, field trips, water days, etc. We enjoy having fun while we work!
