About the Opportunity

A Best In Class commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Drywall Project Manager to join its growing Self-Perform Drywall Division in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager coming directly from a commercial drywall specialty contractor who is looking to take the next step with a company known for delivering complex commercial projects, investing in its people, and providing long-term opportunities for growth.

You'll be joining a collaborative leadership team with a strong backlog of work and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued expansion of a growing self-perform group.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial drywall projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, procurement, and cost control.
  • Coordinate with field teams, owners, architects, consultants, and trade partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review construction documents, drywall assemblies, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
  • Lead multiple projects while maintaining quality, safety, client satisfaction, and project profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of Project Management experience with a commercial drywall subcontractor.
  • Strong knowledge of drywall assemblies, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial interior systems.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial projects simultaneously.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial construction practices and drywall operations.
  • Proficiency with CMIC, Quick Bid, OST, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
