Hammond Psychology & Associates is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and fully licensed mental health professional to join our growing group practice in Brandon, Florida. We are especially interested in clinicians who enjoy working with children and adolescents, although opportunities may also be available to serve adults, couples, and families based on the clinician’s experience and interests.
This is a part-time independent contractor position with the potential to grow as the clinician’s caseload develops. Compensation is paid per completed clinical session and varies based on the client’s payer source; a specific number of clients or hours is not guaranteed. The ideal candidate is available for some evening and/or Saturday appointments and is committed to providing high-quality, culturally responsive care in a supportive private-practice environment. Both in-person and telehealth services may be available based on client needs, payer requirements, and clinician eligibility.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing individual therapy to assigned clients
• Completing timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Developing and updating treatment plans
• Coordinating care with parents, schools, physicians, or other professionals when clinically appropriate and properly authorized
• Maintaining professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards
• Participating in practice communication and administrative processes as needed
Minimum qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Florida license as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist
• Master’s or doctoral degree in an appropriate mental health field
• Professional liability insurance
• Ability to pass required background and credentialing checks
• Strong clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the practice team
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience providing therapy to children and adolescents
• Experience treating concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, behavioral or emotional difficulties, trauma, depression, family stress, or life transitions
• Availability during evenings and/or on Saturdays
• Current participation with one or more major insurance panels is helpful but not required
• Bilingual clinicians are encouraged to apply
Hammond Psychology & Associates provides a professional and welcoming office environment, administrative and scheduling support, electronic health record access, billing support, and opportunities to receive referrals through the practice. Clinicians have flexibility in determining their availability within the practice’s scheduling needs.
