Special Education Para Professional in Flint, MI

Embark on a meaningful contract assignment supporting students for the 2026-2027 academic year in a dynamic and welcoming school setting near Flint, MI. This full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, with schedules dependent on school assignment (either 7:15am-3:15pm or 8:15am-4:15pm).

As a valued paraprofessional, you'll have the chance to work closely with students across all grade levels. Whether placed 1:1 with individuals in specialized settingssuch as self-contained classrooms, resource settings, or supporting those with cognitive or emotional impairmentsor in general education classrooms, your impact will be felt daily. Primary Responsibilities:

• Offer daily instructional and behavioral support to students in a variety of classroom settings
• Assist with basic health aide tasks, including toileting and diapering for students with cognitive impairments
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes student independence and engagement
• Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and encourage student success
• Support documentation and communication related to student needs and classroom activities

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• At least 60 semester hours of college credit (official transcripts required prior to district presentation)
• OR associate degree or higher
• OR minimum scores on assessments: ETS Parapro (460+) or SAT (480+ EBRW, 530+ Math)
• Comfortable working 1:1 with students across the spectrum of needs in both specialized and mainstream classrooms
• Patience, strong communication skills, and adaptability
