Expert Dewatering & Construction (EDC) is an established Florida General Contractor specializing in heavy civil construction, dewatering, excavation, underground utilities, and site development. As we continue to grow, we are launching a dedicatedCommercialDemolitionDivisionand are looking for an experienced leader to build it with us. (SALARY WILL BE BASED ON VERIFIABLE INCOME)

About the Position

As ourDemolitionOperations Manager, you will oversee every aspect of thedemolitiondivision, including estimating, project management, field operations, safety, scheduling, business development, and team leadership.

You will work directly with company leadership to develop systems, build crews, pursue projects, and expand ourdemolitionservices throughout Florida.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and grow EDC’s commercialdemolitiondivision.
• Estimate commercial, industrial, municipal, and selectivedemolitionprojects.
• Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and work plans.
• Managedemolitioncrews, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure OSHA and all safety regulations are followed.
• Oversee trucking, debris removal, recycling, salvage, and disposal operations.
• Developdemolitionmeans and methods.
• Assist with project scheduling and resource allocation.
• Build relationships with clients, engineers, municipalities, and subcontractors.
• Develop standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Mentor and train field personnel.
• Assist in identifying and pursuing newdemolitionopportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of10 years of commercialdemolitionexperience(15+ years preferred).
• Strong experience with commercial, industrial, structural, and selectivedemolition.
• MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 FLORIDA VERIFIABLE DEMOLITION PROJECTS within the last 3 years
• Proven experience estimatingdemolitionprojects.
• Experience managing field operations and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of OSHAdemolitionstandards and construction safety.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Experience:

• Government or public-sectordemolitionprojects.
• Interiordemolition.
• Concretedemolition.
• Structuraldemolition.
• Site clearing and earthwork.
• Environmental compliance (asbestos, lead, silica awareness).
• Heavy equipment operations.
• Scheduling and estimating software.
