TRC's client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturer supporting high-volume production operations. This is a great opportunity to work on process improvements, automation projects, and advanced manufacturing systems in a fast-paced environment.


What You'll Do
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and industrial automation systems
Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment and production processes
Develop and implement controls strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and equipment reliability
Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and automation-related issues
Support new equipment installations, startups, and commissioning activities
Create and maintain electrical schematics, control system documentation, and programming standards
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to optimize manufacturing performance
Manage controls-related capital improvement projects from concept through implementation
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Analyze equipment performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives


What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering
Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms
Knowledge of HMI development, VFDs, industrial networks, and servo systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings
Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software tools
Excellent communication and project management abilities
