Positions are available at the high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten levels, each with tailored schedules to suit your expertise and interests. Your role as a paraprofessional will involve working closely alongside certified staff, helping deliver classroom instruction, supporting student safety and well-being, and fostering an inclusive, positive environment for learners of all backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RI Teacher Assistant (TA) Certification or CNA credential with relevant school-based experience
  • Experience working with children in an educational or behavioral support setting
  • Adaptability to different grade levels and classroom needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with teachers to deliver individualized and small-group support
  • Providing assistance for students with academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Supervising students during classroom activities and transitions
  • Aiding with classroom management and contributing to a positive classroom environment
  • Recording student progress and providing feedback to instructional staff

Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, with hours tailored to each school level: High school (8:00 AM2:15 PM), middle school (7:05 AM2:00 PM), elementary (varied start/end times within 8:30 AM3:30 PM), and kindergarten (8:30 AM3:00 PM). The contract runs from August 31, 2026, through June 10, 2027, offering the chance to build strong relationships with both students and colleagues throughout the academic year.
