POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the OASAS Program Nursing Director, the RN Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care in accordance with the nursing process within an OASAS-regulated treatment setting. This role serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and continuity of care across all clinical services. The RN Supervisor oversees nursing staff and operations, facilitates coordination between disciplines, and ensures that essential patient information is accurately communicated through appropriate documentation and verbal reporting. When direct care is not provided, the RN Supervisor delegates responsibilities to qualified clinical staff in accordance with scope of practice standards. The RN Supervisor is also responsible for providing operational support across programs, including coverage during staffing shortages, call-outs, and high-volume periods to maintain safe and effective patient care delivery. This position may require assignment flexibility across clinic sites and participation in Mobile Medication Unit (MMU) services to support outreach and medication administration in the community. The RN Supervisor is accountable for maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations, including New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) requirements, to promote quality care, patient safety, and program integrity.
