Product Cost Engineer
Automation Personnel Services is looking for aProduct Cost Engineerfor a company based inSulligent,AL.This role will focus on product cost evaluation for products manufactured inaplant and feasibility analysis for new RFQ. In addition, the role will collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to define the best production process during the industrialization phase.
Pay Rate
$70,000-90,000 per year.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday,7 30am to415pm.
Product Cost EngineerDuties and Responsibilities
•Estimate costs for new products or for products localization
•Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
•Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings for products already in production
•Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to during industrialization phase and to reduce time to quote
•Identify continuous improvement opportunities using AI-driven analytics
Product Cost EngineerQualificationsandRequirements
•Bachelor’s degree in engineeringor related technical field (required)
•1 –5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or product cost estimation
•Knowledge of mechanical processes, especially welding and machining
•Experience or interest in AI tools, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
•Strong background with Excel
