Located: Latrobe, PA

Pay: $45/hr and up (based on experience)

Position Overview

Support maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and return-to-service activities on turbine-powered helicopters within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This hands-on role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and teamwork while maintaining a variety of rotary-wing aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test airframe, powerplant, hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Remove, install, rig, adjust, and replace aircraft components and assemblies.
  • Complete modifications, phase inspections, and return-to-service documentation.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical publications.
  • Perform functional checks, support disassembly/reassembly activities, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, avionics, sheet metal, and quality teams to meet operational goals.
Required Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience (5-10 years preferred).
  • Hands-on AW139 helicopter experience preferred.
  • Experience with turbine-powered aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA maintenance practices, preferably in a Part 145 environment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Military helicopter maintenance experience with an FAA A&P.
  • Part 145 Repair Station or corporate aviation experience.
  • Experience on helicopters such as AW109/AW119/AW139, Sikorsky, Bell, Eurocopter, UH-60, UH-72, and similar platforms.
  • Heavy maintenance, phase inspections, depot-level maintenance, and structural repair experience.

Work Environment

Work in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station supporting a variety of turbine-powered rotary-wing aircraft from manufacturers including Sikorsky, Bell, Leonardo (AW), and Eurocopter. The environment involves hands-on maintenance, heavy inspections, and modification projects within a safety-focused, team-oriented hangar setting. Overtime and occasional travel or off-site maintenance support may be required based on operational needs. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $104000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
