Job Description

Purpose:As aStructuralEngineer atKE you will play a key role in designing, analyzing, andoptimizingsystem and equipment designs associated with solar energyand BESSinstallations. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross functionallyacross KE design and project teams, customer representatives,vendors, subcontractors,and external engineering partners to ensure projects timelines are met.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert(SME)fordesign and constructability of the following systems:foundations, rigid and flexible load carrying members,materials,fasteners,andcoatings.
  • Engage withinternal and external stakeholders to achieve mutualdesired design ofthemechanical and structural aspects ofphotovoltaic, battery storage andsubstationsystemsto includefoundations, racking, fasteners, equipment mounting, and equipment pads.
  • Perform a wide range of engineering tasksto include load analysis, foundation sizing, corrosion analysis, etc.by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment such asBlueBeam, AutoCAD,MathCADor similar,Ansys or similar.
  • Establishand/or verifyconstruction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specificationsfor mechanical systems.
  • Ensurecompliance withvendor,customerand internalrequirementsby directing or coordinatingdesign documentation and installation.
  • Generate test plans,compile data,andwritereportsas part ofengineering projects and studies.
  • Prepareand/or reviewspecifications for purchases ofstructural/mechanicalequipment and materials.
  • Work collaboratively intheteam to design and execute complex projects under the direction of theteamlead.
  • Manageproject problems quickly and effectively tomaintainproject schedules, cost,and quality.
  • Conduct onsite visits to reviewmechanicalandstructuralsystems as needed tocollect information tosupport projectsandachieve solutions.
  • Foster key strategic relationships with various partnersthroughtechnicalengagement and collaboration.
  • Interfacewith regulatory agencies, subcontractors,and manufacturers/distributorsto obtain and sharetechnical information.
  • Manage, as part ofthe above activities,project files, drawings,documents& recordsin our database,maintainingconfidentiality.
Qualifications

  • Proficiency with materials, coatings, manufacturing methods.
  • Competency in structural loading analysis.
  • Minimum of 3 year's experience in engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work closely with the team as well as independently
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Pay Range: $80,000–$120,000 per yearwith bonus potential
