Our customer inBeloit, Wisconsinis seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruitingWinder Operatorsto work full-time on2ndshift.As a Winder Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating winding machines to roll materials onto spools, ensuring consistent tension, quality, and proper winding procedures, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities of theWinder Operator:
- Set up machinery according to job specifications, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to lean strategies.
- Log production data, close open work orders, and transfer orders to finished goods for shipping.
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine materials, cutting lines, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Operate machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic materials.
- Inspect completed workpieces for defects and measure them to ensure they meet specifications.
- Safely prepare materials for shipping, ensuring proper identification, tagging, and wrapping.
Winder OperatorRequirements and Qualifications:
- Ability to stack finished goods onto pallets.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions effectively.
- Proficiency in written correspondence and communication.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide various units of measurement.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively.
Pay forWinder Operator:$18/hour.
