The Field Engineer conducts field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel, and rebar. This role involves traveling to project sites across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and surrounding areas, collecting and transporting samples to the laboratory, and preparing clear, accurate reports for project leadership. The position offers a sixmonth contracttohire opportunity with the potential for permanent employment based on performance and growth.
ResponsibilitiesThe role is based out of a South Jersey office in the Moorestown, NJ area, which serves as the primary home base and regional hub. The Field Engineer travels regularly to construction sites across the Philadelphia region, Central Pennsylvania (including State College), and New York. Work is performed primarily outdoors on active construction job sites in a variety of weather and site conditions. The position follows a typical schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime available at times based on project needs. Much of the work is performed individually in the field, with daily check-ins and status updates to the Project Manager before each shift ends. The company emphasizes a strong safety culture with continued safety training, strict adherence to safety standards, and pre-task planning on all projects. Required attire for this role includes work boots, jeans, and a t-shirt, and a hard hat is provided for use on construction sites.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berwick, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
