We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate software for embedded systems across the full development lifecycle. You will work from requirements analysis and architecture through implementation, testing, verification, and formal validation, with a strong emphasis on ensuring robust, reliable, and compliant solutions. In addition to hands-on technical development, you will support proposal efforts by translating customer requirements into clear work tasks and effort estimates, and communicate software solutions effectively to internal teams and customers.
ResponsibilitiesThis role is primarily onsite with some flexibility, offering a mix of cubicle-based workspaces and well-equipped labs for hands-on development and testing with embedded hardware and instrumentation. You will work with technologies such as embedded C, Python, Linux, single-board computers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies in a structured engineering environment. The team follows a 9/80 work schedule, providing regular extended weekends and a balanced approach to work and personal time. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melbourne, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
