We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Medical Assistant to join our pediatric primary care team.
Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical support to physicians, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pediatric office. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and are passionate about making a difference in their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for examination, ensuring comfort and confidentiality.
- Take vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure) and document in patient charts.
- Assist physicians during pediatric exams, including handing instruments and providing patient support.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by the physician.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for external labs.
- Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and manage supplies inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working in a pediatric setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with children and parents.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology.
