Customer Service / Collections Specialist

Pay: $20.00 / hr

Location: Georgetown, TX

Shift: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Enjoy your evenings and weekends free!)

Are you a skilled communicator who excels at problem-solving and helping people? Openwork is seeking a dependable Customer Service & Collections Specialist to support essential daily utility and account operations in Georgetown!

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong attention to detail, and brings a patient, empathetic approach to customer resolution.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Customer Support: Assist residents with service requests, utility connections/disconnections, and account inquiries.

  • Payment Processing: Handle cash and digital payments accurately, reconcile balances, and manage data entry in CRM systems.

  • Account Management & Collections: Guide customers through billing questions, resolve past-due balances, and set up manageable payment plans.

  • Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot account discrepancies and ensure clear, professional communication at every step.

What You Bring

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills with a friendly, service-first attitude.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with billing/CRM software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

  • Detail-Oriented: High accuracy with financial data, cash handling, and record-keeping.

  • Problem Solver: Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and resourceful in deadline-driven situations.
