Position:Environmental Engineer Manufacturing Compliance

Location:ONSITE - Georgetown, KY 40324
Pay Rate:$50.00 - $55.00 per hour (W2 ONLY)

The Environmental Engineer will support manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites in highly regulated West Coast states, including California and Oregon. They will collaborate with Production Engineering teams that implement changes, modifications, and new launches at each site. Any project involving capital investment will require an environmental assessment. The Environmental Engineer will evaluate each project and review the following:
• Evaluate every environmental impact such as storm water impact, wastewater impact, and chemical impact, etc.
• Support Environmental standard and policy implementation
• Perform proposed operational change Environmental impact assessments including direction feedback to requestor
• Develop and propose permit strategy to support proposed projects and operational changes
• Complete permit applications on behalf of manufacturing sites and/or LDS sites
• Support environmental functions related to EEMS requirements and confirm understanding by local environmental support
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor s Degree Science related field (Environmental/ Biology, Chemical etc).
• Experience performing environmental impact assessments for manufacturing operations, facility modifications, equipment installations, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of storm water, wastewater, chemical management, air emissions, hazardous materials, and waste related environmental requirements.
• Experience developing environmental permitting strategies and preparing permit applications for manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Ability to evaluate proposed operational changes and provide environmental compliance guidance and recommendations to engineering teams.
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Preferred Automotive industry.
