The Teacher plays a crucial role in shaping the learning environment, developing curriculum, and fostering growth in children. To succeed, they must have a deep understanding of child development, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents. By maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom, the Teacher enables children to thrive and reach their full potential.



What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement educational curriculum that aligns with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, and leads to engaging and enriching experiences for children.
  • Mentor and guide teaching team members to support their professional growth and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Create and implement individualized and group activities that cater to diverse learning needs and promote social, cognitive, and emotional development.
  • Establish open lines of communication with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and conferences to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.
  • Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
  • Contribute to a healthy and positive classroom atmosphere by promoting hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Serve as a role model and provide guidance to teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they adhere to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, forms, and files to support administrative needs.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and advance teaching skills.


Requirements

  • Basic computer skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and maintain high energy levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep understanding of child development and growth patterns.
  • Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (obtained prior to hire).
  • Must undergo a thorough background check prior to employment.
  • May require standing, walking, and frequent physical activity, as well as the ability to use hands, fingers, and tools to accomplish tasks.
  • Must possess good visual acuity, including near vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
