Senior Design Engineer

An international manufacturerisseeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Greenville, SC.They will play a keyrole in the design, development, and continuousimprovementof high-voltageswitchgearproducts.

This positionisresponsibleforcreating and maintainingproductdesigns, supportingmanufacturingoperations, drivingproductenhancements, and contributingtonewproductdevelopment initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design experience, proficiencywith 3D CAD software, and a passionfordeveloping reliable, high-quality engineeredproducts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and developcomponents and assembliesusing Autodesk Inventor orsimilar 3D CAD software.
  

• Create detailedmanufacturingdrawings and assemblydocumentation.
  

• Perform engineeringcalculationstovalidateproductperformance and reliability.
  

• Support newproductdevelopment and continuousimprovementprojects.
  

• Develop and execute Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principlestoimproveproductionefficiency.

• Collaboratewithmanufacturing, quality, purchasing, and field service teamstoimplement design improvements.

• Assist withproductvalidationtesting, testplans, and technicaldocumentation.
  

• Support costreduction initiatives through design optimization.

• Participate in root causeinvestigations and corrective action activities.

• Ensurecompliancewithapplicableengineeringstandards and customerrequirements.
  

  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegree in Mechanical Engineering orrelatedengineeringdiscipline.

• 3+ yearsofproduct design experienceusing Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, orsimilar 3D CAD software.
  

• Experience creatingdetailedmanufacturing and assemblydrawings.

• Strong understandingofmechanical design principles and engineeringcalculations.

• Experience workingwithin a manufacturingenvironment.
  

• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  

• ERP experiencepreferred, ideally SAP.
  

• Knowledge of high-voltagetransmission/distributionequipment, circuitbreakers, IEEE, or IEC standardsishighlypreferred.
  

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and projectmanagementskills.
  

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  

• Willingnesstotravelupto 10%.
