Job Description

Job Description

Location: Carrolton, Texas

Job Type: Full-time | Salaried | Exempt

A day in the life

By 7:00 a.m., you’re walking the floor, greeting team members by name and skimming the overnight dashboard. You adjust staffing based on inbound schedules, double-check today’s outbound priorities, and set a clear plan for safety and throughput. Mid-morning, you lead a quick huddle to align shipping, receiving, and inventory control. After lunch, you’re auditing cycle counts, clearing a bottleneck at receiving, and coordinating a preventive maintenance check on a forklift. Before you wrap, you review KPIs, finalize reports, and recognize a team member who nailed a process improvement.

What you’ll do
  • Lead, coach, and schedule warehouse associates; provide training and performance feedback to build a high-performing team.
  • Oversee inbound receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and outbound shipping for accuracy and speed.
  • Safeguard inventory integrity through routine cycle counts and periodic audits; investigate and reconcile variances.
  • Champion safety: implement and enforce policies, conduct checks, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Coordinate daily flow with logistics, shipping, and receiving to balance workload and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues quickly; escalate when needed to keep service levels on track.
  • Monitor equipment and facility needs; initiate maintenance and partner with vendors as required.
  • Own reporting on warehouse activity, inventory levels, and workforce performance metrics.
  • Cultivate a positive, productive environment built on respect, accountability, and teamwork.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).
  • Demonstrated success in warehouse operations; prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership, people development, and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Hands-on knowledge of WMS and inventory control practices.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced setting and juggling multiple priorities with calm focus.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
  • Clear, professional communication skillsboth verbal and written.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
