Field Technician

About the Role

Simply Clean provides professional commercial cleaning services to offices, light industrial facilities, medical offices, and other commercial accounts across the La Crosse and Onalaska area. Our clients count on us to show up, follow the scope of work, and deliver consistent results every time.

We are looking for reliable, self-motivated Field Technicians to join our team. This is independent and somewhat flexiblework. You will be assigned to client accounts, given clear expectations, and trusted to complete your work without someone standing over your shoulder.

This position is part-time to start, primarily during evening and overnight hours depending on the account. As you demonstrate reliability, quality, and consistency, additional hours may become available.

What You’ll Do

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop hard surface and carpeted floors
• Dust work surfaces, furniture, and horizontal and vertical surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, fixtures, and floors
• Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap
• Clean entrance glass and interior glass surfaces
• Remove trash and replace liners
• Deep clean appliances such as refrigerators and stoves as assigned
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuums and floor machines
• Follow building-specific task lists and cleaning schedules
• Communicate promptly with management about site issues, supply needs, or client concerns
• Follow company procedures for safety, door locks, timekeeping, uniforms, and attendance

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable you show up when scheduled
• Detail-oriented you take pride in doing the job right
• Self-directed you can follow a task list independently
• Coachable you accept feedback and correct issues quickly
• Physically able to be on your feet for an entire shift
• Able to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Prior cleaning experience is helpful, but not required. We train the right people.

Compensation & Growth

Starting pay is $16.00/hr during paid training, which typically lasts 2–4 weeks.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $18.50/hr based on performance milestones. Raises are earned through quality inspection scores, reliability, and tenure not just time on the job.

Shift coverage incentives and performance bonuses may be available. Employees who demonstrate leadership, reliability, and consistent quality may also be considered for future Lead Technician opportunities.

A Note on Hours

We start new hires part-time intentionally. This gives you time to learn the work, get comfortable with your assigned accounts, and show us what you are capable of.

Employees who demonstrate consistent quality and reliability may have the opportunity to take on additional accounts and grow their hours over time.
