Description
The Client Residential Manager will be responsible for the direct management of Direct Support Professionals. The Residential Manager works in cooperation with other professionals to ensure that individual services are delivered as required, per the client's ISP. Must be willing to go through ongoing training so that you're able to teach and the direct care staff how to work more effectively with all the individuals that we support.
Specific Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to each employee on a regular basis. Maintains and ensures that each employee maintains standards of confidentiality, consent, and ethical standards
- Ensures each employee follows directions of delegating authority (delegated nursing).
- Assists monitoring each employee for medication errors and assists with corrections as needed.
- Ensures that each employee protects, promotes, and educates others regarding client rights.
- Delegates tasks appropriate to each employee’s training and competence; and ensures that each employee completes those tasks in a professional manner.
- Coordinates, facilitates and documents periodic staff meetings.
- Completes and delivers employee evaluations. Provides performance reviews, 30-day, 6 month, annual and as needed. Oversees the creation and implementation of IDP for each employee.
- Oversees employee schedules, securing staff coverage as needed.
- Oversees OJT for each employee, delegating where and when appropriate.
- Conducts and participates in debriefing sessions with employees after a house/site and/or client crisis and/or emergency.
- Supervises and participates in the on-call rotation cycle.
- Provides Human Resources with employee incident reports and return to work forms.
- Works cooperatively with the Human Resources Recruiter, communicating frequently regarding staffing needs at each house/site.
- Approves employee time off requests while ensuring required shift coverage.
- Ensures that each employee is in compliance with mandated training requirements
- Provides ongoing training to meet client needs.
- Maintain Med Certificates for all med passers on sites.
