This position is ideal for experienced fabricators who can work independently, interpret fabrication drawings accurately, and support production operations with precision and consistency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.As a Precision Fabricator, you will play a critical role in building structural assemblies, production fixtures, racks, containers, and custom fabrication projects. This role requires advanced fabrication knowledge, strong layout and fitting skills, and the ability to complete projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.We are looking for professionals who take pride in craftsmanship, understand fabrication standards, and contribute positively to a high-performance production environment.Position SummaryThe Precision Fabricator - Level 1 is responsible for performing advanced fabrication, fitting, layout, and assembly work on structural and custom metal components while maintaining tight tolerances, production quality, and workflow efficiency.This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, fixture and template fabrication experience, and the ability to independently complete fabrication projects from layout through final assembly. The ideal candidate is capable of identifying dimensional issues before production, maintaining assembly squareness, and supporting repeatable manufacturing processes.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints accuratelyFabricate racks, containers, frames, and structural assemblies with precisionPerform layout, fitting, squaring, and assembly of fabricated componentsMaintain tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy throughout fabrication processesBuild, modify, and improve templates, fixtures, and production jigsPerform GMAW and FCAW-G welding as required for fabrication projectsComplete small fabrication projects independently from layout to final assemblyIdentify fit-up, dimensional, or fabrication issues before productionSupport production efficiency and repeatability through fixture and workflow improvementsWork closely with production and fabrication teams to improve manufacturing processesMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all company safety procedures and PPE requirementsFabrication & Welding SkillsStrong blueprint reading and fabrication layout skills requiredExperience maintaining tight tolerances and assembly squarenessAbility to fit and fabricate complete assemblies independentlyExperience building templates, fixtures, and production jigsStrong understanding of fabrication sequence and material flowExperience with GMAW and FCAW-G welding processes requiredAbility to identify and resolve fit-up and dimensional issuesStrong attention to detail, workflow efficiency, and craftsmanshipAbility to support repeatable production fabrication processesTools & Equipment UsedFabrication and fitting toolsGMAW and FCAW-G welding equipmentMeasuring and layout toolsClamps, fixtures, and fabrication jigsGrinders and finishing equipmentSaws and shop fabrication equipmentMaterial handling equipmentHand and power toolsQualificationsMinimum 3+ years of fabrication experience requiredPrevious experience in structural or custom metal fabrication environments preferredStrong blueprint reading and layout interpretation skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and fabrication sequencingAbility to fit and weld complete assembliesConsistent quality and production output requiredStrong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving mentalityBilingual in English and Spanish preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience building fixtures and templates for repetitive production workExperience supporting production workflow improvementsExperience with structural steel fabrication projectsForklift experience is a plusWelding certifications are a plus, but not requiredCompensationStarting pay: $27/hourFull-time positionGuaranteed 40 hours per weekStable long-term employmentOpportunity for professional growth within the companyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 70 lbs regularlyAbility to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environmentAbility to work safely around fabrication machinery and welding equipmentWork EnvironmentThis position works inside a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility.
