Position Summary
Rue Insurance’s Account Managers aretrustedadvisorsthat liaisebetween clientsand insurance carriersto convey information,provideunderstanding, andensurework is performed inan accurate,timelymanner.Commercial LinesAccount Managers are primarily responsible for providing outstanding client service and advisory support to all new and existing clients in a book of business (accounts above $25k in premium).Quality of work must exemplify the best-in-class service standards established by Rue Insurance at all times.The Account Manager’smain focusis to build andmaintainclient relationships to support the new business and retention goals of their department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the servicing responsibilities of a book of business, including policyrenewals, requests for policy changes and proofs of insurance,contractandinsurance requirement reviews, andassistwith onboarding new clients
- Process client coverage renewalsin a timely manner, from obtaining updated clientoperations and exposure data, to obtaining renewal quotations from insurers,analyzinganddisclosingcoverage changes, preparing renewal proposals for clientpresentation, and binding coverage
- Prepare complete marketing submissionswith detailed instructions for Rue’sMarketing Department when remarketing isrequested– continue to work closelywith marketer until final renewal or replacement of coverage
- Proactivelyidentifyopportunities to educate clients,initiateinter-agency referrals,and offer enhanced or new coverage/account rounding recommendations tominimize client risk

- Handle all client requests (internal and external) ina timely, friendly,empatheticand professional manner
- Perform assigned responsibilitiesin accordance withthe agency-established clientservice standards
- Independently handle all routine client servicing without producer involvement
- Build andmaintainlong-term client relationships to support the departmentalretention goals
- Provide clients a clear response on coverage or billing questions includinginformation on rate fluctuations or policy changes to ensure full understanding
- Follow all agency processes and procedures, including but not limited to, EpicWorkflows, client documentation, paper and electronic records retentionguidelines, etc.
- Accompany producers on client visits to accounts, as requested
- Participate in educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills, and/orachieve ormaintainprofessional designation(s)
- Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines
- Attend and activelyparticipatein regular department and monthly companyMeetings
- Perform all other duties or projects as assigned by management

Work Schedule & Classification:Full-time, salaried (non-exempt) position
Salary:$65,000 - $95,000plus bonus opportunity based on company and individual performance
Physical Requirements:Must be capable of sitting fora long periodof time, working on a computer, standing, and walking.
RequiredQualifications
- Valid NJ PropertyandCasualtyInsuranceLicenses
- At least 3yearsofcommerciallinesaccountmanagement experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent customer service mindset and skills
- Ability to multi-task and complete work with a sense of urgency
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of insurance company rating systems
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office
- Experiencewithagency management software
PreferredQualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience using Applied Systems Epic
- ActiveCertified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation
- ActiveCertified Insurance Counselor (CIC)Insurance Designation
