Heavy Equipment Service Technician - $1,500 Sign-on Bonus

Palmer Johnson is looking for an experiencedHeavy Equipment Service Technicianto join our Dallas-Fort Worth** area Service team. If you're a mechanically minded problem-solver who enjoys diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding equipment, we'd like to meet you. You will also receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus!

**Our Service Center is currently located in Arlington, TX but will soon be relocating to Burleson, TX.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures
• Repair, rebuild and recondition industrial/heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/DC systems
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings and schematics
• Disassemble, inspect, repair and test equipment
• Perform field service and on-site repairs as needed
• Identify parts needed to complete repairs
• Communicate with customers, vendors and our Sales team
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
• Help train other technicians as your experience grows

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around/on equipment

Preferred:

• 2+ years repairing heavy, industrial or off-road equipment
• Diesel mechanic experience
• Hydraulic and/or electrical troubleshooting experience
• Vocational, technical or military mechanic training
• Field service experience
