We are looking for applicants in our growing business in both screen print and embroidery. No experience is required we will train you to be a press operator in screen print and a great embroiderer in our embroidery department. We offer a fun, creative, fast paced environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Production Setup:This includes preparing screens, installing parts (such as ink rollers, stencils, or plates), and calibrating the machine for the specific run.
- Operation & Printing:Running manual or automatic screen-printing presses to apply designs. Operators monitor the process, ensuring registration (alignment) and color accuracy remain within tolerance throughout the production run.
- Quality Control:Conducting thorough checks during the printing process to identify issues like smudging, misregistration, or color inconsistencies.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance:Performing routine maintenance and basic repairs to ensure machinery operates efficiently. This includes troubleshooting issues like machine malfunctions or drying problems.
- Post-Production:Cleaning the printing press and peripherals, including reclaiming screens for reuse, and potentially assisting with drying, folding, and packing finished goods.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency:Ability to operate large, computer-controlled, or manual printing machinery and understand ink mixing and viscosity.
- Attention to Detail:Excellent eye for detail, color, and design is critical to ensure products match specifications and proofs.
- Physical Stamina:The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, work with chemicals, and regularly lift heavy items (often up to 50 lbs).
- Communication & Organization:Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders and effectively communicate with team members or coordinators to meet production deadlines.
