Food Runner / Barback – Part Time

Voodoo Brewing Co. Erie is looking for a reliable, energetic Part-Time Food Runner / Barback to help keep service moving during our busiest nights and events.
This is a support position designed for someone who likes staying busy, works well with a team, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed. Our bartenders handle both bar service and front-of-house service, so the Food Runner / Barback plays an important role in keeping food moving quickly and allowing our bartenders to stay focused on our guests.
What You'll Do
- Run food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately
- Monitor the food pickup area and help make sure completed orders get to the correct guests
- Clear and reset tables
- Keep dining and service areas clean and organized
- Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, glassware, and other supplies
- Assist bartenders with basic barback duties during busy periods
- Help collect and organize glassware
- Assist with dishes and general cleanup as needed
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Communicate with bartenders and kitchen staff to keep service running smoothly
- Assist with other support tasks during events and high-volume periods
What We're Looking For
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willing to take initiative rather than wait to be told what needs done
- Able to remain on your feet for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry trays, bus tubs, cases, and supplies
- Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required
We are happy to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic.
Schedule
This is a part-time, peak-hours position, primarily during our busiest evening shifts.
Typical availability needed may include:
- Thursday evenings
- Friday evenings
- Saturday evenings
- Special events and other high-volume shifts as needed
Approximately 8–12 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on business needs, events, and availability.
Compensation
$7.25 per hour plus participation in the applicable tip pool.
